The last 1 year 3 months and 4 days

So exactly 1 year 3 months and 4 days ago I married my very best friend for all time and eternity. Let me back up a little though and tell you about how Stephen and I met/started dating. I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on July 3rd 2009 and was confirmed on July 5th 2009. I was at the time dating someone else, but I was in a Sunday school class that Stephen taught. That is where the magic begins.

FIRST DATE: AUGUST 18th 2010
Fast forward about 8 months and the kid I was dating broke up with me. (It was a pretty traumatic time in my life). I stopped going to the singles ward for a little bit because it was starting to be kind of awkward. However, a few weeks later I went back and started attending Stephen's class again and somehow he was much more attractive than I had remembered! So I asked him and a couple of his friends if they wanted to go bowling that weekend, and I thought that everyone was coming. I wasn't planning on it being a date at all; I just wanted to hang out with some awesome people. Well to my surprise, Stephen texts me that night and says that we are going to dinner before and that he would pick me up at 7. I was super confused because I planned on driving myself to the bowling alley and buying a burger for dinner while we were there. So Stephen shows up at my door and we go to Asian Star for dinner. He proceeds to tell me that the only people who were hanging out with us tonight were Amelia and Justin, and that we were going to dinner by ourselves. Oh goodness, this really is turning into a freaking date! At the end of the night we went back to Justin's parents’ house and got in the hot tub and watched a movie. I am sure Stephen felt accomplished for getting my in a swim suit on the first date. The best part? As we were driving home Stephen starts grading me on how good of a date I was. Seriously? Who does that? My husband, I guess. I did really well; getting a 96% which I suppose was the perfect grade to earn me a second date. It was probably one of the best, most unexpected dates of my life.

ENGAGEMENT: OCTOBER 31st 2010 (Don't judge us)
So here we are 2 1/2 months later getting engaged. Crazy? Yeah, we thought so too. But hey, when you know you know! So obviously Stephen and I hadn't been dating that long, but we really loved each other, and still do. We both didn't really think this relationship was going to go anywhere, and especially not to the Temple. We were just having some summer fun, and then somewhere along the line we fell in love. So here we are on Halloween night, and I was at Stephen's house for Sunday dinner. Barry (Stephens’s dad) made this awesome shepherd’s pie that looked like a graveyard. We were just eating like a normal Sunday, and Stephen tells me that all of his friends are going to come over to watch scary movies. He asked me to go to the t-pad (A game room that was made by Stephens brother Brian and his friends, it's pretty legit) to get the Goonies with him. Well on the way out he started acting really weird, I thought maybe he was just excited to watch the Goonies with all of his friends. We got the t-pad and he opened the door and that’s when the water works started. There were rose pedals, candles, lights, the whole nine yards. It was amazing. We have it on video; I will post it on here. It was the best thing ever! I said yes, obviously, and we started the planning!

MARRIAGE: MARCH 19th 2011
The absolute best day of my life! Everything was perfect. We were sealed in the Draper Temple at noon on Saturday March 19. It was freezing outside, but it made for some really pretty pictures. I was glad that we were getting married at noon because I had tons of time to get ready. I woke up at about 8am and started getting ready. One of my very best friends, Amy, helped me with my make-up while I did my hair. I forgot to eat breakfast in the excitement of everything, oopps. When Stephen picked me up we stopped by Del Taco, it was delicious! We got to the Temple and it was seriously the most amazing thing ever! I was sealed to my very best friend and the love of my life for eternity, who wouldn't want that? We took a few pictures afterwards and our video at the Temple and then Stephen and I headed back to our apartment to take a nap.... We went to the reception at Cactus and Tropicals, which was so great. We danced and laughed and saw so many of our friends and family. When the night was over we headed to the Grand America honeymoon suite for our first official night as husband and wife! We headed off for a cruise to Mexico and the Cayman Islands and enjoyed ourselves for a week-long vacation! I will spare you all the details. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day or a better husband!

CATCH UP: Then to now
So here we are 1 year 3 months and 4 days later and I think we have accomplished a lot in that short time. Here is a list-
